Here we go:
On the 1st of October one of the most popular artists of j-rock, Miyavi, who went solo in 2002, and since then became more and more successful, visited our country.
MYV who started his career in the band, Dué le Quartz toured outside Japan several times, but this tour is the biggest of all. When they announced the dates in April, the Hungarian fans became both happy and shocked, cause they saw Hungary on the list.
On the concert around 1700 fans attended in PeCsa (note: the place of the venue), which is much more anybody would expected. (note: at first they wanted to organize the concert in a small club). Some people were waiting outside from early morning, but most of the fans arrived in the afternoon, of course 95% of them were girls. It took around 1,5 hours for the crowd to get into the arena, but at half past eight the concert begun, the band walked on the stage, and later Miyavi, too.
When he decided about the set list it seemed he wanted to cover his solo career and introduce it, including the big favourites, some new songs, some unknown ones and some really old ones. His professionism shone down from the stage: the sound and the lights were perfect, so as the harmony between the musicians and how was the whole show was organized. Miyavi prooved that he’s not just a great showman, but a really good dancer, too. His voice sometimes changed to hoarse, and even he admitted that the lot of concerts a lil bit shattered him. As a good old Japanese tradition the concert was broke with lot of speech parts. Some were touching (or corny), with the „we are one big family” kind of phrases, but he mensioned some interesting things as well. He talked about his daughter, about the international tour, about his online apperances (myspace, facebook, flickr, etc.), plus about the programs: although he came to give a live, but unfortunately he couldn’t find time for sightseeing, so basically he haven’t seen anything about Budapest.
Of course the biggest cheers came out when Meev started posing, hinted his shoulder, licked his guitar, pulling his shirt,or he pumped up the crowd in some other ways.
Most of the times he was just like this: even at the beginning of his solo career PSC tried to made him look like the poster boy of VK, and since the plan was successful only his look changed, for example when he changed his previous album’s style with colorful kimono, to the much more low-key like look. Miyavi was always like a visual boyband in one person and now the concert was around him. His band was enthusiastic, but still just part of the show. (note: WTF? O.o They were AWESOME!)
The fans were in a really good form, they were raving, screaming, singing the songs, yellings, jumping, dancing and huge Meev logos were held up, so as signed flags and lacy, black heart shaped boards with Miyavi’s name with kanji. After the 2 hours gig the encore was just the top of the hill with three songs including the biggest hits. And the crowed became even more enthusiastic if it’s possible. The concert ended around half past ten, but after an hour there were still a lot of deranged, but very happy fans aroind PeCsa, because they were still in shock after waiting for the gig in the past half year (note: or more...like me! J).
We can understand that, since the live was perfect, and it was a very important episode in the Hungarian VK scene’s life: some few years ago only around 25-30 fans would attened at this show.
